These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with WorkSafe.ie (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) for training courses including but not limited to:
- Safe Pass
- Manual Handling Training
- School Caretaker Training
- Any other health and safety courses delivered by WorkSafe Ireland
By booking a course, you agree to the following terms.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
1.2. Course fees must be paid prior to the course date.
1.3. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any participant whose payment has not been received in full.
1.4. Prices are subject to change without prior notice; however, confirmed bookings will not be affected.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
2.1 Cancellation by Participant
- Cancellations made more than 5 working days before the course date may receive a full refund or transfer to another date.
- Cancellations made within 5 working days of the course may incur an administration fee.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the course or non-attendance may result in loss of full course fee.
2.2 Substitutions
Participants may nominate a substitute attendee up to 24 hours before the course, subject to eligibility requirements.
2.3 Cancellation by WorkSafe
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to insufficient numbers, instructor illness, venue issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
In such cases, participants will be offered:
- An alternative date, or
- A full refund
We are not liable for travel or other related expenses.
3. Course Requirements
3.1 Safe Pass Courses
- Participants must bring valid photo ID (e.g., passport or driving licence).
- Late arrivals may be refused entry in accordance with Solás regulations.
- Full attendance is mandatory to receive certification.
3.2 Manual Handling & School Caretaker Courses
- Participants must be physically capable of undertaking practical elements.
- Any medical conditions that may affect participation must be disclosed in advance.
Failure to meet course requirements may result in refusal of certification without refund.
4. Certification
4.1. Certificates/cards will only be issued to participants who:
- Attend the full course,
- Successfully complete required assessments,
- Comply with course rules and instructor guidance.
4.2. Replacement certificates/cards may incur an administration fee.
5. Participant Conduct
5.1. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards:
- Disruptive behaviour
- Abusive or threatening conduct
- Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Participants removed for misconduct will not receive a refund.
6. Liability
6.1. While every effort is made to ensure safety during practical sessions, participation is at the attendee’s own risk.
6.2. WorkSafe Training shall not be liable for:
- Loss or damage to personal property
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Delays caused by events outside our control
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it is unlawful to do so.
7. Data Protection
7.1. We collect and process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation.
7.2. Personal information will only be used for:
- Course administration
- Certification processing
- Communication regarding your booking
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties except where required for certification or by law.
8. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for failure to deliver training due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, government restrictions, or public health emergencies.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
